The DoDEA Student Information System (DSIS) Family Portal will be unavailable from Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 pm ET until Thursday, July 10 at 2:00 pm ET. Parents and students will not be able to access the system or register students during this time. Registration will resume when the system is reopened on July 10.

Dear Parents and Guardians, Welcome! Below you will find the official School Supply List for the school year. We appreciate your support in helping our students start the year prepared and ready to succeed. Thank you for being a valued part of our school community!

Yokosuka MS Supply List

5th Grade

Student Supplies (Please label with your child’s Name)

  • 1 backpack/book bag big enough to fit a file folder and large books. No wheels please.
  • 1 plastic supply box or pouch
  • 1 pair child’s round end scissors
  • 1-2 pens (blue or black)
  • 1-2 pens (red)
  • 1 pack of colored pencils
  • 2 rubber erasers
  • 1 package washable colored markers
  • 1 package crayons (box of 24)
  • 1 pack highlighters
  • 1 ruler (12”) (please ensure ruler has inches indicated on it)
  • 1-2 pocket folders (plastic/vinyl preferred)
  • 6 bound composition books (wide ruled)
  • 1 pair personal headphones (no Bluetooth headphones; plug in & over the ear headphones preferred)
  • 1 reusable water bottle

Classroom (Shared Supplies)

  • 2 packages of pre-sharpened No. 2 pencils
  • 4-8 glue sticks
  • 2 boxes of facial tissues
  • 1 2-package of paper towels
  • 1 package of loose-leaf paper (college ruled)
  • 1 package of loose-leaf paper (wide ruled)

Notes:

  1. Teachers may request additional supplies to improve the classroom environment (e.g., binder, subject dividers for binders, Ziploc bags, Lysol wipes).
  2. Supplies may need to be replenishment as the school year progresses.
  3. Please save your receipts, as all teachers may not require every item.
  4. All students are required to wear pants/shorts and gym shoes (sneakers) during PE class.
  5. Students are not permitted to share food (snacks or lunch)

6th thru 8th Grade

  • Backpack/book bag big enough to fit a 2-3” binder and a Chrome Book. No wheels please.
  • Supply pouch for binder
  • 1 package pens (blue/black)
  • 2 packages of pre-sharpened No. 2 pencils (24 count)
  • 2 rubber erasers
  • 1 package of highlighters
  • 1 package of colored pencils
  • 1 package of colored markers
  • 4-6 glue sticks
  • 1 ruler (12”) (please ensure ruler has inches indicated on it)
  • 1 pair of school scissors
  • 1 pair personal headphones (no Bluetooth headphones; plug in)
  • 1 reusable water bottle
  • 2 boxes of tissues

** The requested number of supplies may vary depending on your child’s schedule. Teachers may have specific requirements for their classroom. It is recommended that prior to buying supplies that vary in quantity, that teachers discuss their individual classroom requirements with students.

  • White out
  • Other color pens for correcting and editing projects
